  1. Complete assessment of pain
    • Physical, emotional, spiritual, interpersonal, financial
  2. Prevent pain rather than Crisis Intervention
  3. Believe patient’s pain complaint
  4. Diagnose the precise cause

    2. Use Adjuvant Drugs
    3. Medication – 4 hourly not PRN
    4. Use ‘Morphine’ earlier rather than later
    5. Know that Addiction has No Meaning
