AMRI Hospitals is setting up a nuclear medicine facility that will help doctors diagnose cancer at a much earlier stage. A Pet CT scan with 64 slice will give doctors the added edge and also help specialists diagnose and treat disorders of thyroid, liver tumour, neuroendocrine tumour and bone cancer.

The hospital is also on a massive expansion mode, coming up with three new speciality facilities in eastern India, including in Burdwan and Bhubaneswar. The first of the three will be AMRI’s Women and Children’s Hospital near Mukundapur on EM Bypass. The 275 bed hospital will open in October, offering 175 beds initially. "The hospital will offer treatment for all diseases related to women and children, " said executive director of the hospital, D.N.Agarwal.

In Bhubaneshwar, another 300 bed AMRI multi–speciality hospital will come up. The hospital would have ICUs and six operation theatres. There are also plans to set up a 100–bed AMRI hospital. Capacity will also be ramped up at the existing AMRI hospitals.
