Learning To Celebrate Life

A perennial question ‘why people still carry terrible terminal visions of cancer’ haunts all those who have been touched by this disease and have come out winners by their grit and determination. These same winners and heroes will convey to the world that cancer can be cured and there is a great life beyond cancer.

Participating in an evening of fun and frolic titled, Celebrating Life on November 19, members of the NGO ‘Prashanti Cancer Care Mission’ will teach the world, the way of finghting it out against cancer. The evening will have play back singer Abhijit Bhatacharya as the chief guest who has pledged his support to the cause.

The evening will see dancing maestro Sandip Soparkar as a special invitee dancing with the Prashanti heroes. Cheryl and her band will perform reminiscing the classic numbers of the 70s and 80’s with tap dancing music. Day care nurses and relatives of patients will also partake in this programme.

Prashanti grew out of a need to reach out to people in need by giving them a new lease on life. From then to now, Prashanti not only financially helped patients through treatment but also helped them answer questions and supported them through cancer.

The family of Prashanti has grown over the years and its advisory board spreads its wings to incorporate many humanitarians towards this humble cause.
